Installed my CB tonight
Installed a Uniden PRO520XL in my Jeep tonight after work. I was waiting on the mounting stud and cable to come in the mail. They were waiting for me when I got home.
Put the CB above my rear view mirrior, ran an 18' coax through the header, across the roll cage, in to the tailgate along side the existing wiring, out the tailgate to a 3" FireStik II mounted on the stock tire carrier using a Rugged Ridge bracket. Still waiting for my SWR meter to come in the mail this week. It was a pretty easy install, took me about 2 hours.
Parked on a street along the side of a hill with a good view and put it on 19.
Was heard clearly by someone over 15 miles away!!
Im pretty pleased with it, I'm sure it will do great on the trail and be great for the highway!
