I v been looking for a ham radio for our 09 Wrangler and was wondering what the opinion of the Yaesu FTM 10 R.
Thinking about mating it to either Cool Tech license mount or
the new tailgate mount they have.
To me it seems well suited for install in the Jeep.
Maybe Im wrong but thats why Im asking for opinions.
Thanks.

The only Yaesu I would advise you to stay away from is the FT-90, my freinds Mark, Howie, and Howies wife all had them and all had big problems....Other than that never had any trouble with Yaesu....

Default Ft 10 r

I installed to FT 10 r in my rubi unlimited. installed the control panel between the visors, the unit under the steering wheel by the radio amp. It seems to work well but is a pain to program and I have a hard time trying to remember all the programs without refering to the manual.

I love APRS, so I went with a Kenwood TM-D710. It is a fantastic radio, if you don't mind the price.
