Love mine. I mounted an extra 12v plug on the left side of the passengers area since I use the other two for other things.

Got the cb but haven't got my antenna for the carrier yet. I did test it out the reception with a fellow jeeper and picked him up about two miles out using it as a handheld

Got my cb and antenna in. Tested it out as a handheld yesterday while waiting on a fellow jeep buddy to meet up. I picked him up on his cb about two miles before he got ton the meeting spot. Another question about the aux. My output is on the top. What cable are u guys using for the aux input?

You could pick him up at 2 miles with the handheld? That’s plenty for driving in a group. Did you try to transmit with the handheld? I wouldn’t think it would make it 2 miles.

I had to build the cable. It’s stereo on one side, mono on the other, and I wanted right angle connectors on both ends. I couldn't find anyone who sold a cable with that configuration.

So with the stereo to mono does sound play through all speakers? I'm using the standard aux cable for my phone but it only plays on the left side

Yes, that's why I made the stereo to mono cable so I would hear it on both sides.

You could also talk to him with the handheld at 2 miles? That's great.

Got'er done today, hardest part was getting the effin ground and antenna cable through the grommet....PIA. Also had to use a wire hanger to grab the cables and pull them up through the hole on the inside of the tailgate. Once that was done the rest was a cinch. Cool tech mic mount was a easy. Actually glad I installed it. Some of the nuts needed a little tightening on the radio and center piece. Seems like it i got rid of a couple rattles and squeaks.
