Midland 75822
As to the volume, yes it's is kinda weak, however this can be solved with a $5 cable. Just get a 1/8 inch male to male headphone cable, put one end in the spk output on the midland and the other in the aux input on your stereo and you can turn it up as loud as you need! I believe all Jeep factory radios come with the aux input right on it, so you should be good to go.
Any external antenna will work fine. Just like any CB, your reception is only as good as your antenna set up. No difference for this CB. I have used a 3' Firestik and it worked great. I also used a Wilson whip antenna in 3' and 5' and they both worked great. I prefered the whip for my old vehicle as it is very flexible. The fiberglass antennas work fine for the back of my Jeep. The higher you go the more range you will get. For trail com, I know a lot of people that run a 2'. Works fine. For a lot of distance, you will want to have a longer antenna.

It comes with both a battery pack for regular AA and a pack to put rechargeable AA batteries in. The rechargeable pack comes with a cord to plug in the wall. I keep the regular pack in my glove box and the batteries still work after a year and a half.
