Need Ideas for CB Mounting Problem
I have a Uniden PRO510XL, and right now it's mounted with velcro to the panel right above my right knee. I bought the unit at a garage sale, and it didn't come with the mounting bracket or screw knobs.
I'd like to get rid of the velcro for something a little more solid, but i'd like to keep it pretty flush against the dash panel, so it doesn't hit my knee.
I was thinking of just an angle bracket on each side, just long enough so that the CB is secured flush against the panel, but I don't have the slightest idea how to fabricate something. Where do I start, what material should I use?

For something that small, just go to HD/Lowes and get an angle bracket in the general hardware section...drill out some holes and you're set. Depends on where you want to put it and how much work you want to invest, but that would be a quick and easy way.
