Hey all you HAM and Radio ninjas out there,
I need some help with a multi antenna setup.

I currently have a Relm VHF radio and Firestick antenna mounted along with my Cobra CB and separate firestick antenna.

I love how the firesticks work and function with both the CB and VHF Radio.

Does anyone know if i can use a different firestik ( or if they even make one) that i can use with my new BearCat 355c Scanner ?

If i can use a firestick i will already have solved the mounting / grounding issue so im not to worried about that

I have never used a fire stick for VHF as I'd think you's have to chop a crap ton of wire out to make is short enough.

You might wanna look into a hamstick in the frequency ranges you want. antenna legnth is not AS important for listening as it is for transmitting.

 

If I'm reading it correctly you have coverage from 25 to 800 meg. That's EXTREMELY wide. Does the telescoping antenna that came with the radio not work that well? I would think that in order for you to get the most out of your scanner you should go with a dedicated mobile scanner antenna. I doubt very much you would be able to utilize the radio with a single monoband Firestick. I just did a google search and saw a number of them.
