new CB
I have that Cobra 29 in my JK and I have no regrets. The blue tooth comes in handy if you live in a state where it is illegal to use a cell phone unless it is hands free. I have found that the visor or other remote mount mics for hands free phones do not work well with the wind noise when the top is off in the summer, but the CB mic with the blue tooth feature works perfectly. As far as others are concerned, it looks like you are talking on your CB (not illegal) even when you are on a cell phone call.
A lot of my buddies have CBs here so we use them on a regular basis. However, like others have said, if you are only going to use yours on the trail there are other CB options that are less expensive and will work just as well. As with anything else concerning your rig, the choice is completely yours. If that is the CB you want and you don't have a problem with the expense, go for it. The Cobra 29 will treat you well.

I picked up a Cobra 19 CB for 40 bucks. What a pile. It will do for the trail no problem. I used to drive a semi cross country and enjoy talking to the truck drivers in the area. This cb radio does not cut it for shooting the poop with truckers. If I get frustrated enough one day I'll buy a new CB and report back. I guess you just have to know what exactly your going to use it for. I thought I wanted it only for the trail. One's it was installed I realized I should have purchased a better radio. here is were I put it.
