Yah I figured that. Probably even before turning the thing on I knew it was gonna be bad lol. Its funny though to listen to it, but at times you just gotta wonder why someone is spamming some obnoxious sounds/noise/bull....I guess I'm a believer in the "if it doesnt contribute to the conversation, then stfu"

@tslewisz - Thanks man. I couldn't have done it near this good without EmbarkChief at the helm of the project. The guy is a pro!

I like how everyone calls me Rawb. I once put that on a test in highschool instead of "Rob" and I got written up for it...then again...that teacher was a major

Thanks for the compliments. Hopefully the guy who really made this possible continues to read this thread. My hats off to him! (EmbarkChief)

Now my coworkers ask if I am having problems with my flux capacityor and if I can even get my Jeep up to 88 miles an hour...I guess they think I want to go back in time or something?

I am too. It works great! Can't wait to use it when we go wheeling! Theres a big trip EmbarkChief and I are going to at the end of this month. Will be nice to have it then!

Last night EmbarkChief and I (who live about 11 miles away) got to a nice open area near our houses to test out the sideband radio functions each of our radios have. We were able to make clear contact and hold a conversation on sideband across a busy city at about 11 miles apart! Totally awesome!!

any pictures from the inside looking up with the soft top on?

The mounting bar looks great, I may have to pirate that idea.

Sure I'll snap some pictures right now as I head out to lunch with my camera phone so you can see what it looks like from the drivers prospective. I tell you what though, now that Ive driven around with it on the freeway (i drive alot for work) having it mounted high where the speaker is "head level" really makes it nice since Jeeps are a bit noisier than most vehicles. Makes that sucker a lot easier to hear than if it was mounted down below your feet under your seat or alongside your console. It also just looks/feels/ really profession with it mounted high with the mic cord hanging the way it does. if i have to drop the mic to put both hands on the wheel, the mic dangles without bumping into anything. Rather than dropping your mic and it just falling to the floor cause you mounted it down low. Pictures to come in an hour or two.

...

An hour or so later...

Its kinda dark...no flash and the sun being directly overhead at noonish doesnt help.

But I think it gives you the idea you were looking for? If not, let me know and I'll take different pictures as you need/want them with a better camera with flash.
