Well I'm surprised that two of the five items I ordered showed up today on a Sunday. But more to come and will post up installation pics.

Firestix heavy duty stud mount and the 18' CB cable.

Congrats! Something to consider and I have to look into...I am being told that my CB antenna needs a better ground. Apparently, I need a braided wire ground from the antenna to the chassis. I don't know why, it seems to transmit and receive fine, but smarter people than me in the comms field say it needs the strap, so I am trying to learn more.

All the best with your install

Thanks man!, I heard that also and one of the reasons why I got the CB is cause I'm doing the Jeep jamboree in Uwharrie national forest in North Carolina and that's one of the requirements. I bought the 4' tunable firestix that comes in today and it has 900watts but I'll let you know when I get it and read the instructions that come with it about the ground.

The Jeep Wrangler CB grab bar mount for the passenger grab bar showed up so I just had to install it. Part # JKGBMOUNT from CB world just incase for people who would want to get a mount like this for their Cobra 75 WXST CB Radio. Click image for larger version

I use an MFJ 529E antenna analyzer. What's most important is to use a meter that is relatively accurate. I would not recommend buying a used SWR meter.

OK, I'm new to the forum so until I figure out how to post without quotes I will.

I bought an antenna mount for behind the spare but it's powder coat3d... is that OK, or will it affect the signal?
