I wanted easy access to the connection box inlet. I never use both of my cigarette lighter/charging port, so I decided to remove one and replace it with the connection box inlet. It's not the most cosmetically appealing thing, but it's useful and I can always buy a new face plate later and modify it to look better (or something).

The only PITA was trying to fish the cable through the other components in the dash and still be able to replace the faceplate. For the mic mount, I stole another JK'ers idea and used one side of the vents to mount it to.
