I have read lots of info, and have decided to get a magnetic mount. I will only use it on road trips and the trail, so i don't want to spend more than $50ish if possible. I am going to stick it on the cowl/hood area. I am using a basic uniden cb. I have a 4 door. Probably something about 2.5'.... But I am open to ideas on that one.

I might even slap it on the front bumper for road trips (smittybuilt XRC).

If you are close to Columbia City, go to Boonies CB shop. He will fix you up and set the SWR.

with a $50 budget I would go with a Wilson "Little Wil"

I have several antennas for different vehicles, and different kind of trips.
My little Wil is well tested, and perform really well overall.
