Default Routing the coax???

I have seen where several people said they ran the coax from their antenna through the rubber grommet on the tail gate. Where does it go from there? I can't see where the break light wires come out of the tail gate. I assume they must run in the hinges somehow. I am planniing on mounting a CB toinght for a weekend trip, but I need to find out where to run the coax. Please help!!!

Open the tailgate and you'll see a braided cover that disappears under the plastic trim on the inside of the tailgate - the wiring runs inside the cover and under the plastic. Plastic pops off giving you access. Run your coax from the radio under the edge of the carpet to the hinge side of the gate, zip tie to the tailgate wiring, out through the grommet to your antenna mount. Pop the plastic trim back on and you're done.

Here's my take on it, like CJK but with a slight variation. I ran it through the vent holes behind the tire carrier.

And I left the coax loose coming out by the braided harness so it wouldn't bind so much. Now it just kind of makes a big loop when the tailgate is closed without as much bending. Push from the top down on the plastic cover and it will pop right off

The carpet pulled right out and I just laid the coax down by the side.

Okay, I took the plastic cover off. I was expecting more access! How did you get your coax through the rubber grommet? How did you get it from there to the hole behind the plastic cover? You guys must have long skinny fingers!

Take the second plastic cover off. The coax will do a little U turn to get to the grommet.

Make sure you pull the plastic piece from the left, not the right.

I fed a wire through first and taped the coax to the wire to finish the pull.
