I like a lot of people, like my stuff not to get stolen so...

here it is

And behind the curtain lol

When not in use I just reinstall the cover and it disappears! I plan on installing one of toad's cb mic holders when the basement builders come around again. But until then I hang the mic over by the gauges... up and out of the way. Also the cb can be tilted down to get a better view of the front of the cb. And for you big cb guys,... there is enough room in there to hide one of those as well.... atleast as far as I can tell

Bought a mic holder bracket from Toad here are some pics

install pics and description for anyone interested

I had used a piece of scrap stock steel that I had laying around about 1" wide to help stiffen up the metal bar that is already there. I drilled 3 holes in the steel stock but only one in the original metal bar. So the only place where the cb actually bolts to the jeep is the one hole; metal washers on the other bolts help fasten them to the jeep's metal bar. Pics should be able to show you what I mean. Let me know if you have any questions.

any questions let me know

Ran the power to the battery and grounded radio on firewall...

Used the Cooltech Gatemount out back...

I've had it here a couple of weeks and really like it here. Can hear it well even with doors off since it's near my ear and it's not hard to reach. I have more pics in an album if you're interested...

This inspired me to clock my Teraflex mount 180 degrees on the tire carrier. Now it can go in the garage without having to tie the antenna down. Just wrapped the portion of the antenna that comes in contact with the 3rd brake light with 550 cord (Wilson flex) so it doesn't wear on the antenna if it flexes that direction.

I looked at this and thought you forgot to show the "After" picture, then I scrolled down.

Nice install. Looks like a decent spot and unseen when not in use.

How is the sound from there? I guess you could install a separate speaker above your head and hide in the roll bar.

No need, sound is loud and clear. I actually can't turn it up all the way because it's too loud.
