I am back from Europe and could check in at 4:00 PM.
Vern & Dave pick a frequency.
If all goes well I can try my dipole that I am trying to put up. So far my mast idea is not working exactly as planned.
Once I get my shack set up and if the dipole works then I will be more able to try and run the net.
I will check the post around 3:00 PM to know what the plan is.

It took two days to get a mast and the dipole set up. I was able to get on at 4:30 EST and it was quite.
There were lots of action on either side of the frequency that we picked.
Vern do you have 40m capability as maybe that would be a better frequency.

Yep. The 857 does 160 - 6, 2 and 70. The only thing I "can't" do is 160. I got the 80M Scorpion.
I also can't QSY on the fly. I use a MFJ-259 to adjust the antenna. Then I reconnect the 857. So a QSY takes a few min.
