Skinny on handhelds..........Please help
The antenna that came with my unit has the adapter built in that connects to CB. In order to use the firestik and regular coaxial cable you need the adapter...

Update: I'm going to mount a permanent Fire stick as I'm not so sold on the magnetic antenna. If the top is up you have to route the cable thru a door opening(as the only metal to get to is the hood) and I'm really not digging that.

I've got a Midland 75-822 and it's both a handheld (battery pack ad antenna) or you can put base on where battery goes that runs power from the cig outlet and hook it to a larger antenna. Works great for quick placement on the jeep. The only thing left when I take it out is the antenna cable. My dad has the same one on his BMW K1200 and says it's great for bikes. Has scanning on cb as well as weather radio
