The speaker is made by Cobra. It is called the HG-S300. I got mine at a local truck stop, but you can get them cheaper on line for around 24 bucks. It is a noise canceling, 15 watt speaker, btw.....plenty loud. Good luck!

am I missing something? My cobra 75 is loud, sometimes I forget its on and someone will say something over it and scare the s**t out of me.

For me JP its loud but just not clear enough. That little speaker just can't replicate human voice where I can understand it. I bought the cable and run it through my AUX on the radio. Quick fix and the sound is much better. I agree with DoubleD though, the bad thing is you cant listen to the radio at the same time.

A word of caution about using the Aux in of the stereo... someone mentioned that the aux out on the Cobra 75 is rated much higher power than the max input power of the aux in of the stereo.

If true, it may be possible to damage the stereo system.
