US vs. EU CB's

Anyone know if U.S. CB's work in Europe, i.e. frequenzes and such?

In Europe, the CEPT adopted the North American channel assignments, except that FM is used instead of AM. Some member countries permit additional modes and frequencies.

Sorry, but we use both (AM+FM) with the AM being preferred (Italy).
Can't say 'bout channel assignment (40 ch here) or Power limit (can't remember)...

.

We use both in Sweden as well, but usually CB's goes over the FM band... is there no way to program it, or switch, to FM? (It = Cobra... like the style of it!)
