What cb antenna are you running?
yes ...most all c.b.'s can be peaked and tuned. the c.b.'s off the shelf have a factory setting for the wattage. I have all my radio's peaked and tuned a few times a year to make sure they are pushing a great signal.

I just ordered the Gate Mount, Antenna kit from Cool Tech
http://www.cooltechllc.com/jeep/jk_gatemount.shtml
It comes with the FireStik II, tunable antenna.
I have yet to receive it, but I think it will work out well.

FWIW, Iv got the other mount that CoolTecLLC offers.
It mounts to the license plate assembly.
It came with a 4' Firestik and it works great.
The only banging I get is once in a while the antenna bumps the guard
Iv got on the taillight.
Also showing where Iv got the cb for now.
Hope this helps.

Firestick II 4' - drilled a hole in the bumper, inside the taillight and just outside the hinge (so the door does not hit - works great, but thanks guys for the tip on the wattage output
I will see about getting that maxed.
