Default What to order

Hey guys, I have a JCR shield carrier which I am planning on mounting my firestik to. I already have a cobra 75 WXST and now I need to find what coax cable, and what antenna I should order. I park in the garage so I was thinking of getting a quick disconnect for the antenna but should I pair this with a spring? Also 3 ft or 2 ft antenna, fire ring or normal coax? Links appreciated!!! Thank you guys!

I have the same carrier, but I mounted mine to the bumper, since the antenna mount on the carrier is too high for day to day use. Get 4', with 18' coax & firering, and the quick disconnect will be a nice feature for some parking garages. You don't need a spring, but I think that's personal preference.

I have my antenna mounted to the cowl so a spring is needed. However, since you are mounting on the tire carrier (btw, not the best location) a spring probably won't be that useful as the tire will interfere with any flex. You may want to consider a more flexible antenna such as the Wilson flex over a firestik. I would opt for the quick disconnect and two antennas of different lengths if you park in a garage daily. This is what I did as I got tired of disconnecting my 4ft firestik every night. I purchased a shorter 2 ft firestik for ever day use and us the 4ft for off-road and long highway trips.
