I actually have only positive things to say about the dealer down here in WestPalm... and only negative things about the dealer in Delray (been a long time since I have been there though).

edit: thought it was a given... but just in case, the dealer replaced it because I had the same "auxillary not connected" on my 6-disk changer...
Who is your Jeep dealer? I'm in WPB as well and had nothing but grief

so hopefully if you are using an iPhone on yours that it is the older 2G model that will charge... otherwise it plays but kills the iPhone battery...

also I found wierd behaviour if the phone rings while im playing music from it.. I cant always answer the phone... my guess is because both the phone and iPod are using the U-connect module.. so then I have to fumble to get the phone out of the glovebox and answer it...

I love the U-connect and iPod docking but it sux with the iPhone 3G and newer..

also if you have not done-so you need to have the U-conect Module star-scanned into service at the dealer before it will work with any radio..

Starting with the iPhone 3G the iPhones will only charge via USB, I suspect that all models of iPod will charge using USB. The original model of the iPhone and early iPods would also charge via Firewire. The difference is that USB has +5V on one pin and Firewire has +12V on a different pin.

If you are trying to use an iPod cable to charge your iPhone connected to your non-MyGig radio then there are two versions. The older one is Firewire based and you need an adapter to get it to work or you can get the new cable and it is USB based. Search these forums you should be able to find the part numbers somewhere.

If it is setup correctly with the uConnect and iPod adapter everything must be done from the radio. If you try using your iPod controls on the iPhone it will tell you that an accessory is connected.

The only thing that you might have to do, is disconnect the iPhone/iPod from the connector if you want to turn on shuffle. There is no control for shuffle or random (RND) on the radio.

Cheers

I thought when in iPod mode.. the preset buttons for the radio actually controlled things like shuffle / repeat.. ill have to go back and look at the instructions...

I neded up doing as another post stated.. just got an old ipod.. put a 320 gig drive in it and leave it hidden behind the dash until i need to put new music on it.. works great...
