1 Second Engine Shut down
I've looked around and haven't been able to find anything on this issue, so forgive me if this has been readily resolved.
I've got a 2015 JK 2-dr Sport with 90k miles (bought it at about 35k). Something that has been happening slightly more periodically is the engine will shut off (RPM drops to 0) for about one second, then it pops back to life. Usually happens when I am on the interstate, but sometimes as slow as when I am starting from a stop sign. (It's the time's that I am pulling across traffic that really poses a problem). Often it will happen 2-4 times in succession at 5-10 second intervals, and then run fine for the rest of the trip. It happens both when using the gas pedal, or when using cruise control (effectively cancels the cruise speed).
No other electric shuts off. Simply RPM to 0 for a second, then back up as if nothing had happened. Has anyone else experienced this or have any idea what this might be?

Something somewhat similar happened to me and at least one other person on here. Like a momentary studder. The other member replaced his crank position sensor and it fixed his. I then took his advice and it worked for mine also. It only takes a few minutes to replace and is not expensive so it is certainly worth a try. The crank sensor, not the cam sensor. It is underneath, in the area behind the right front wheel.
