13 alpine stereo replacement
I have been researching new headunits as mine touchscreen doesn’t really work. I have the upgraded alpine speakers and am a bit confused about what exactly needs to be replaced.
I plan on getting a new head unit now and speakers eventually. Trying to decide between an android type one I see on Amazon or traditional type I see on Crutchfield.
1. android
if I went with the android I see on Amazon I will need an amp to power the speakers. Eventually an aftermarket for the speakers I want to get. Is there an amp I can just replace the factory one with and not have to run new wires? Or does that defeat the purpose of it.
Can I just plug in alpines booster amp
2. head unit, such as a Kenwood that is powered, do I just buy wiring kits and install to go around amp. Will I have to rewire the speakers?
3. get the alpine w650 head unit and pair with amp booster?
4. Or get the joying
would like to spend $400

Go with crutchfield and also get their installation gear that's listed as "most features". I spent quite a bit more on a stereo for my 13 JKU. Got a 9" Pioneer DMH-WT3800NEX with swipeable touchscreen and all the installation gear. I had to plug the iDatalink into my laptop to program it but all the rest of the wiring kit was plug in play. Didn't have to wire up anything. Was nice. Get something off Amazon and it'll be up to yourself to do all the wiring and get it working.
