Default 20" light bar install

Just received my RI hood mount for my 20" led light bar for my jk. How on earth do I best(and without stripping) unscrew the existing hood bolts??
And once they are out and its time to put the new ones in, should I use a thread lock of any sort??
Pics are always fun... And helpful. Thanks much

I used blue painters tape to keep from taking the paint off of the bolts but for people who have swapped hoods it doesn't sound like they've had problems yet. These bolts aren't rusted you like the older models so you shouldn't have any problems.

That makes sense. See I'm talking more how do I unscrew them??? I gave it a shot and they don't budge! For real, they must send the hood to the factory to paint after the bolts are on. Any other ideas???

I didn't do a hood, but I did swap hinges from full doors to half doors- 2010 with 25k miles and they came off without any issue. I just put a little ass behind it and they came right off when the paint broke around the outside of the bolts.

It is all painted as a piece, underneath the hinges is pure primer. But to your question- get it set (taped bit), put some good pressure on the head of your tool and give the ratchet a good jerk. I think I used a 1/2" ratchet with the adapter to drop it to 3/8" just so I could get a little more torque.
