So, 2008 JKU (new to me) chasing down why the headlights are on a toggle direct off the battery. Decided to start looking for the basics, blown fuse, bad wire ect ect ect. First, how do the headlights not have a fuse labeled in the block, secondly I noticed a lot of “missing” stuff according to Chilton manual….. can a TIPM be swapped between 08 and 2010?? Picture of actual attached, am I nuts or is this not an 08 version?
This looks like mine but to really tell the details you need to look at the serial numbers of the unit installed. Don't understand why the headlights are not running through the TIPM.
SHEW!! I’m glad I’m just a bit nuts, after removing the air box and shifting some wire loom a part number was found an it’s an 08 match….. Chilton manual needs a little rewrite I guess. Now back to the problem at hand….. oem signal stalk will turn on the running lights, and fog lights but no voltage to the headlight plug/wiring….. time to break out the ohm meter and see who’s a naughty wire (or switch)
