Well, sounds like I might have to find someone on ebay ditching an 09 MyGig. Very cool information and thanks LittleJon for the PN I'm sure a bunch of folks will be ordering that.

Thanks to every one for adding your questions and comments. This Thread has prompted me to get mygig updated. This has also got me ordering the mic for it.

Hi,

I'm confused. I have a 2009 Wrangler Unlimited. The dealer installed the Bluetooth kit. It works great. The uconnect buttons work for both my iPhone and radio. They were also supposed to install the iPod kit found here:

http://www.mopar-accessories.com/en-...=3334&pc=37020

Part #82211263AB

They called me during the install and said it isn't compatible and they called Chrysler who confirmed this. Could that be correct? It sounds as if others have the iPod connected. It works through the aux cable, but I wanted it in the glove box so it would charge and I would get iPod controls through the radio. I have the RER model.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Lewis.

You need part #82211853, not the one you got.

Part number should tell you, they changed in 09. There's a good chart over on wkjeeps.com that spells them out faily well.

Thanks Jon. Is that a new part? I've looked on mopar for the past few weeks and never saw that. No installation guide is posted. I'm sure the dealer can do it. Any idea how long it should take them? Doesn't seem as if it should take that long...

It will be pulling the mygig out, adding a plug to the back, and running it to the glove box.
If you're paying probably 2 hours? If not, 30 minutes? Maybe 45?
You could easily do it yourself taking lots of time (beer breaks are good) and spend 2-3 hours.

Thanks so much. I printed out the part page from Mopar and brought it to the dealer today. They looked a bit surprised, but I have it in writing that they will install it. Thanks again.
