Default 2010 jk 2 door interior dome light question

Dumb question but should the dome lights be able to be turned on with the switches on each side of the light? The manual says it only comes on when you open the door, use remote unlock or use the control on the turn signal. I swear mine used to work with those push buttons but I recently replaced the lights with LED ones and now the switches don't do anything. The y only work as described in the manual.

I have a 12 and put in led bulbs as well.

I am still able to turn off and on using switch. Maybe try adjusting your dimmer knob ?

I have SuperBrightLED lights for my front and back dome lights in my '13 and mine work with the manual buttons. The rear one you just push the entire lens in to activate, but it still works. I think your dome light is exactly like the one on my soundbar, which like I said earlier, works just fine.

Funny that you posted this. I have another thread for the same issue, but for both lights in my JKU. With the LEDs, they operate via button only when the ignition is on or when using the fob. The button doesn't work when the ignition is off.
