Default 2012 Battery Ground upgrade

So either I'm the worst search user ever or there's just nothing posted about this yet. I'm about to upgrade my audio system and got the power and ground kit in today. I want to use a section of the ground wire to upgrade the factory ground cable from the battery to the frame. With things as tight as they are in there I can't see where the ground location is after leaving the battery. Does anyone have a description or pictures of where the mount point is from the battery to the frame? Will it be more obvious once I pull the battery out?

Even worse I can't find the ground from the alternator to upgrade it later if I so choose. Any help there, all I saw was a power line to the battery and a small connector with 2 wires off it which I assume is just some form of signaling since it's too small to be a proper ground and is actually 2 leads not 1.

Thanks!

Really, no one? not even an obligatory make me feel like an idiot response?

I'm about to see if I can pull out the fuse box as best I can tell that's where the ground wire goes under but can't see where it attaches or goes through until I get under it. Might be easier to remove the battery though so will have to check. Hopefully someone sees this and will stop me before I do something stupid!

Here's some pics of mine that I did. Big 3 upgrade.

Power to 12V on alternator
ground from alt bracket to battery
ground from battery to the ground stud on the chassis

All big 3 wiring is Kicker 0ga

That's actually something I may reference when I do the speakers but unfortunately since you don't have the new engine, everything under the hood is different :( I can't find anyone who's done anything under there in a 2012. I've decided to just add a new ground line and not worry about where the other one goes from the battery. On your alternator though, did you have to tap a new mount point for the ground or was it already there? I can't see an existing one so I'm guessing it's grounded to the engine block itself. I'll probably upgrade the power from alternator if I can come up with something for the ground as I should have enough spare cable.

Thanks!

Well I did end up finding where it came back out and connects to the chassis. I ran it my own way but got there to the same spot though it is a little snug in the area. Not sure how much of a difference it will make but makes me feel better knowing it should have higher capability now. I didn't bother to remove the factory ground cable, just added mine in as well. The problem I'm seeing is that the ring terminals that came with the cable are significantly larger than the bolts they are mounting to :(

Not sure if I can get them added properly but I've got 4 pictures in my album showing where I ended up grounding the battery as well as few shots of the bettery side of the 2012 engine bay
