2012 Wrangler Unlimited Altitude ; BIG 430N Stereo mod; amps, custom subs & speakers
So the stock 430N infinity system sounds OK, but for the music lover who wants to really hear and feel the music, this is the recent enhancments made to my 2012, Wrangler Unlimited Altitude Edition. I wanted to go with the stock stereo, nav, uconnect etc. The goal of this project was to keep everything out of sight, and make the custom box look liked it belongs with the vehicle.
First and formost, I would strongly reccommend the AUDISON BIT TEN digital processor (which is key to getting the true digital output). After much research I went with the Hertz HDP 5, Five channel amp with crossover. Replaced the front speakers and tweets with the 6 1/2 Hertz ESK165 and replaced the sound bar speakers with the 6 1/2 Hertz ECX165. The Custom Sub box with the "JK" Logo from the side of the jeep was incorporated into the center of the box. The subs in the box are the Hertz DS30.3's. Lastly, a Hertz HRC sub level volume knob was incorporated and placed in the center console. (The control knob is key as some may want to change bass level from song to song and will def need to change with hard top on and off)
Wow, must say amps and technology has come a long way. Both the Amp and the digital processor fit very nicely under the front seat. We left the infinity sub in place but disconnected it to keep it looking like stock.
Sound check: Lets just say OMFG! Absolutely, insane! If you want to transform the stock 430N into a monster system this is the way to do it! Yes it is going to be alittle pricey, but if you love music as I do, trust me you will not be disappointed. I am still breaking in the subs, so I have only gone up to 28 on the volume and I am truly speechless.
Let me know your thoughts on the setup, keep on jeepin!

I'm not a big bass audio guy, but the install look nice and clean. Good job
If you want to git rid of the stock sub and keep the stock look, I'm sure there are lots of guys on here that would trade/buy your stock sub and the panel and give you their non-sub panel. That would give you a little extra storage space back there since your new box is taking up some and the space is limited to begin with. Not sure if the non-sub panel keep the 12V outlet or not, as I have the sub.

Very nice looking system man. Looks like something I'd put together.
Mind PMing me and telling me what it cost ya?
Also, did you do the install? I installed a similar module (JL Audio Clean Sweep) into my 08' SRT8 Grand Cherokee... and that took a good bit of time to intergrate it into the vehicle.
