Default 2014 JKU Sahara sound system questions

Yello, I just got my jeep and am looking to beef up the speakers, looking online i really like the look of the Alpine 9 speaker replacement kit with powered sub PSS-W22RA but it states its incompatible with the premium alpine sound system option for jeeps, mine has that option I believe(has subwoofer in the back) After all my googling efforts I can't find a similar option that works so I was wondering why its incompatible. Im also getting a Seciane radio head unit and was wondering if anyone had a similar aftermarket set up they could recommend, I'm not super electrically inclined but have wired a sound system b4.

TLDR: what changes in the premium option sound system in some Sahara's? Best speaker replacements? Any good electrical guides for wiring sound systems?

Welcome to JKF.. alot of good members here and hopefully some will have experience with upgrades on a Sahara.. Mine is a Sport so NO Alpine to deal with.. I did upgrade with MOPAR KICKER speakers; 600w Clarion amp, Forsgate underseat powered Sub.. Still the Stock head unit..It's good enough for my ears (which are a little damaged by loud noise exposure).

I recently did a complete - down to the wiring - sound system upgrade on my 2011 JK Sahara which had the Infinity sound system upgrade. I used a marine head unit, amp, and speakers from Crutchfield, ( because it is a Jeep after all! ) If you haven't done yours yet, I'd be happy to share info and picks of what I did. I will tell you that the results are AWESOME, great sound quality even when riding around with the doors off and top down.
