Default 50" Mounts

Trying to decide on which mount to get for my 50" bar.... Pretty sure I'm going to get the Rough Country ones. They seem to be best deal and look good. Has anyone had any issues with these??

Just don't go for cheap ones off eBay. the first ones I bought were heavy, steel, and did a tremendous amount of buffeting, and vibration. I went with the Poison Spider mounts, The work really well, are aluminum, and have no buffeting.

I'd go with Poison Spyder, Crawler Conceptz or HMF. Almost all of the cheaper ones don't follow the windshield lines, are too high or low. The Crawler Conceptz brackets even have a spot for lower windshield lights and is priced at $179.

I was under the impression that the vibration and all the noise came from the fins on the light. Are you guys saying that the noises comes from the mounts? What mounts are you using? Can you post pictures of the mounts from the side. I had the ebay style and I was getting 92dbs of noise from my light and mounts.

I did like those Crawler Conceptz ones. Not sure how I feel about the look of the HMF ones, not a fan of the holes...

I always thought those Holes were there by design to allow moisture out from behind the bracket but I am not positive?

I've done a lot of experimenting with mine, I had some $150 eBay mounts, and without the light attached, there was no increase in noise. As soon as I put it on however, I got a LOT of vibration, buffeting, and whistle. About 75 db in the cab. With Poison Spyder mounts which I also bought off eBay for $260, there is NO vibration or buffeting, and the noise level is around 65 db. The lights cause a little bit of wind noise, but is barely noticeable unless going into a headwind.

New to the forum, this is literally my first post/comment, so disregard any mistakes...

I just bought the same PS mount for a 50", but I can't afford the RI's 50" spot/flood combo bar, was wondering which light bar you were using in those pics. I'm concerned about buying a bar that will require a bunch of modification to be made to either the PS mounts or the light bar itself. Just looking for a bar that will fit the PS mount best, but not break my bank. Thanks.

I would go with opt7's off amazon, they have good reviews all around for a fraction of other bars. That's what I plan on buying, I just bought their 22" for my bumper
