8" Sub Replacement
Replaced my OEM sub w/this guy and amp.
The amp auto turns on w/signal from the OEM sub wiring. I wired each factory sub channel to it's own input (amp is 2ch in)
then wired the outs to the factory wires, and used banana clips in the back.
Removed the rubber surround from the new sub to make it fit, and used polyfill inside the sub box.
I wasn't all that impressed with it over the stock setup, until, I put a hard top on. HOLY CRAP what a difference.
And no, this isn't a hard top wiring on/off makes a difference. That wiring was not hooked up yet, and post hookup, made no difference.
the sub adds a nice bass line, will shake the mirrors just, and you can feel it in your chest.
It is NOT a double 10" 600 watt setup, but it takes up zero room in the jeep, and with the rear bin cover in place, shows nothing, and looks stock.
In retrospect, I would have maybe liked the single 10 under the driver seat more; but hey; what can you do. I could always do that later.
