If it's something you can solder back together, nbd...prob just a pain working with such short lengths and in an awkward spot. If it's something you have to replace the plunger itself, it's not that pricey...$50 at Northridge4x4, BUT, it would mean pulling tires, pulling brakes, pulling axle shafts, opening diff, and pulling the carrier in order to then unscrew the plunger and install the new one. You CANNOT just unscrew it, pull it out, and push the new one in while the carrier/locker is still in place....cuz the plunger sits on the other side of that actuator ring.

Am I thinking properly that maybe your talking about the wiring having broken like this -

I will admit.....I'm not certain why the wiring is so thick right there between the harness and the plunger. Is there something in there...some sort of resister or whatnot? Again, it's not a plug I've ever had to concern myself with. mine is there, but not hooked up to anything.

I'd be curious to see what's in that bundle there if you can take a pic tonight. Looking online I can't find a good picture. Just wondering why it bulges right there.

That's kind of strange. I guess just to ease the wires from having to bend right there....and avoid them being pinched.

If that is the case, maybe you have a simple splicing repair at almost zero cost....or is there just too little wire to work with on the sensor's end?
