Default Add-A-Circuit

Has anyone used the add-a-circuit to wire in their off road lights? I've got a pair of 170 lightforce lights mounted in front of the windshield. I BS'd with a JK'r the other day and he said that's what he was going to use for his lights.
Have you done it? where and how?

So using the 170's with a Hella wiring harness. Followed all the directions and used the add-a-circuit to run the main beam connection to the fuse box. When I connect the negative battery cable, the lights switch on until I flip the switch in either direction. Then nothing. Tomorrow I'm going to try a different fuse location or scrap the connector and tap into the high beam.

Use the add a circuit to power the switch, not the lights. Let the switch power a relay that powers the lights.

I tapped into M8 (heated seats) on mine. That way the power (to the switch) is only on when the key is on.

Okay- so I had it right all right except the switch. I had the wires installed upside down. I'll try another fuse location so it's only on when the key is turned on. Thanks for the reply.

Use the empty M9 slot in your fuse box. That way you can switch on your lights anytime the JK is running (even if your headlight high beams are on). Also, they will automatically shut off when you turn off the Jeep. Much cleaner and easier then tapping/splicing other wires.

I used the M8 slot and that does the same thing. Any reason you chose the rear heated seats over the front heated seats? I have neither. Thanks guys.

Either one. They both are hot with ignition on. Cold with ignition off.
