Aftermarket Head Unit Speaker Wiring
This might a dumb obvious question, but it’s been probably 15 years since I’ve installed a head unit.
I recently bought a Power Acoustik head unti(I know it’s not a great unit) and it has two pigtails. One is the normal power, reverse, ground, etc.. and the other is for all of the speakers. I haven’t pulled out my stock unit, so I’m not sure how the factory connections are set up.
I still need to buy one of the canbus interfaces, but from what I can see in the pictures, it looks like they just have the connections for power and not the speakers.
So my question is do the speakers connect to the head unit through the canbus interface or am I missing something?
Thanks.

If you have an early JK, I think my post here may help: https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/jk-s...6/#post4363309
Crutchfield.com has kits plus instructions, but that Power Acoustik radio may not be supported.

Thanks for the link. Mine is a 2011, so it has the updated dash design.
I ended up finding and ordering a Scosche CR0714DDCS kit pretty cheap off EBay and it seems like it will function the same as the Crux kit. I’ll update once I get it installed and hopefully it can help someone else in the future.
