For those that upgraded their dash speakers themselves, do you recall what the adapter part number is? Crutchfield says Scosche SAC656, but many reviews on the net, say they don't work right. I'm looking at the JLs or Polks...

I just ordered some, I hope they work. I'll let you know when I get them installed.

 

The kickers are direct plug and play. They got good reviews and are not very expensive.

 

Everyone keeps pushing the Kicker replacements. Maybe its just me, but I've never really been a fan of Kicker. To each his own.

 

The ones that crutchfield sent me "worked", but they took some modification for the fronts to work. The tabs didnt line up correctly on the pods, ended up cutting a small tab off of the pod, cutting the edge of one of the tabs on the bracket, and drilling a new hole through both. Not really a big deal, more of a PITA than anything.
