Default alternative speaker locations

Was wondering if there are other locations to mount speakers, the head unit I am installing has a built it 4 channel amp, and I am going to put another 4 channel amp to drive the stock location speakers. Do you think it would be overkill to have more than the existing 4 speakers? I think the head unit said 4x50 but not sure what the RMS was. Donka

In my last Jeep I got two 6X9 boxes (carpeted) and bolted them to the rear wheels wells facing in and forward, then mounted the speaker. I also put two 10" woffers in a sealed box made to the length of the rear gate. The thing there was, that jeep only had two dash speakers and no sound bar. You could get an amp with more channels. The 6X9 in back sounded sick btw! Well so did the giant amp and woffers too! Nothing liek the true sound i got with the top and doors off that thing. I like to have more room no and not a big system builder.

I am going to put in a aftermarket HU, a JL 500/1 running 2 10w3 subs, and a JL 4/300 running the C2-650x's in the back & the C2-650's up front. But was wondering if I should run the 4x50 14 rms amp that comes out of the head unit, into some other speakers mounted else where?
I'm just wanting to use everything I had in the vehicle before the JK. Thanks

Just replace the factory speakers then. I put the kickers in my dash and sound bar and it sound much better. I would think with your aftermarket H/U and 2x more power it puts out compared to the factory, you will be very happy. Kickers are mopar and put and play, plus they are a bit more durable build.
