Default another TIPM victim....

today i was headed to class in Kyle from Austin..about 15 min...once i got into Kyle i pulled over into a gas station to get some snacks for class...came back out and my 08 JKU wouldnt start....long story short, i didnt make it to class..i had to tow it home...the tranny locked up so i couldnt even get it to neutral...also on this subject, my power locks would not lock/unlock the week prior....i figured id check the fuses and the one for the power locks was blown..i checked it and it was reading same current as battery..so theres a short somewhere....have had those problems for about a week now my jeep wont start...any suggestions? id figured i have a short somewhere due to a faulty TIPM...first time this ever happened to my jeep. ima try to start it/tow it to the stealership tomorrow....hope i dont have to blow my tax return on it..lol

How old is your battery?
When you say it wouldn't start, did it make any noise at all, (clicking, turn over, etc.)?
Did you know there is a bypass button to unlock the shift lever?

If you still have the original battery, I'd say it may be on it's last legs. Low voltage can do strange things to the JK.

On the other hand, bad TIPMs have been known to cause the symptoms you have.

Not much help. Sorry.
