Default anybody do the esp switch mod on here?

Aka shutting off the traction control by a flip of the switch. I'm not paying the dealership 120 bucks to flash it. Basically I'm going to do it as a last ditch effort. My alignment is good tire pressure etc good. I just have bigger tires right now

Traction control comes on when over 40 in a slight turn for no reason. I guess its been talked about by many other jeep owners on other forums. I hate it!

I've done this mod. Just did it a couple weeks ago. There is a write up on here called "esp kill switch write-up"

You can do the whole song and dance with the steering wheel and holding the button. But I want to avoid that

I wouldn't say the wheel dance is simple. The few times I tried to revert and re-activate the ESP it took many, many tries before it worked. I wanted to do the switch mod but just never got to it

Steering wheel dance doesn't work on 2012+. Not sure about 2011's. You could just pull the fuse, i think its J4. Only problem is, you also lose cruise and ABS if you care...

The ESP kill switch is much easier to install than it would seem. I use mine A LOT since having installed this minor but effective little switch.Either of these will help ya out.

Well I just tried doing the dance for 20 mins outside. What a pain. It only works in 4h. I need it to work in 2wd. And it goes back on when I shut the car off. Wtf. I'm gonna do a rocker switch

Well I finally did it. Took a whole 5 minutes to do. I just have to mount it and drill a hole.
