Anybody installed an EVIC?
The 2009 Dodge Nitro and a few other recent Chrysler products have an option called EVIC (Electronic Vehicle Information Center) which displays various info off the computer, and allows the user to set certain vehicle options such as "horn honk on lock/unlock" and "headlights off delay" and "auto lock at 15mph", and others (which is way easier than going through all of the "secret button press sequence" methods that we have for each of these options. Here is some info on what the 2009 Nitro EVIC console can do:

Now, since our JKs use the same CAN bus architecture as other Chrysler products, I'm thinking an EVIC console from a 2009 Nitro just might work in the JK. Anybody tried it yet? I have no idea what it would cost to buy this console new, but I'm willing to try it if I can find one at a junk yard or something.
Anybody beat me to it?

My WK has an EVIC and I find it generally worthless with one exception - showing TPMS info. I haven't heard of anyone putting one in a JK, but it shouldn't be too hard to do. I think you would be the first - I say go for it. I'm all for new and cool electronics.
