Anyone familiar with how to disconnect this electrical connector? It's for the heating element for the seat cushion in a 2013 JK. It's under the seat a ways and tough to see and get hands on.
I
There are red things on each side. Very flimsy and flexible. Tried to press both with a large tweezer but hard to reach and can't be sure I made good contact with both. And, then trying to grab with other hand to pull apart is a challenge. Really odd design. Any one know of a catalog of Jeep electrical connections I can reference to maybe find some info on how they come apart?
EDIT: Found a limited catalog of pigtail connectors. I suspect it might be this connector given the red thingie can be seen in the 3rd pic. But doesn't really help with how to get the two pieces to disengage to pull apart. https://findpigtails.com/connector/b12c2/
I don't have factory heated seats so have never dealt with that specific harness. I'd pop that sucker out of the retaining hole though to get 2 hands on it is and better visual.
I have connected / disconnected this plug tons of times when I was replacing my factory seats with Mastercraft Bajas.
Give me a day or two to get down to my garage and refamiliarize myself with it and I will let you know.
Off the top of my head, I seem to remember that the red things are NOT locks, and all you have to do is squeeze the top of the female end (little built in grey lever).
So here is a photo of the female end of of that connector between the seat wiring harness and the seat heater.
The seat heater element plug (male) snaps into the wiring harness - it is quite a stiff little lever.
Even after you push the lever down, because the female end is quite a bit bigger than the male - the plug is kinda held together with a bit of a vacuum. Give it a good tug ...
You can see the gap at the top of the plug (female side) where the little lever slides into.

I gotta tell you though - getting to those plugs under the seat would be wayyyyy easier if ya just unplug the seat harness from the floor and take the whole seat out.
FYI - That other wire in your photo (that has the plug going through the foam) is the passenger seat occupancy sensor. The occupancy sensor sits on top of your lower seat heater element. Only the passenger side has an occupancy sensor ....
Here is that occupancy sensor (sitting on a piece of cardboard) - it is kind of a clear plastic thingy that has some tape on it to keep it in place ....
