Default Anyone know how to remove Uconnect?

I have a 2013 Sahara that had a 130 RES that also had Uconnect. I put in a new stereo, but just used a PAC until to connect it up but never removed the Uconnect

A friend of mine wants the Uconnect but I'm not sure how to remove it. Is it just a wiring harness or what should I be looking for?

Will he be able to take my Uconnect kit and put it in his 2012 Rubicon with 130? Also, he will probably need a microphone for his vehicle correct?

Thanks

Some HU have the Uconnect built in. And some have a small box that plugs into the back of the HU.

The Uconnect module is located below the radio, behind the HVAC control head.

It's very simple. Your car has the unconnect module and the microphone, although the microphone may be a pita to get out. The module is easy. I assume you know how to remove the the bezel around the radio, if not just search it, it's been covered many times. The uconnect module is literally just underneath the ac controls held in place by 2 9/32" screws. Remove those and a few wires. One wire is the USB cable which stays in the car. The other one goes up to the radio which you can take out. You won't need it.

Just so you know, these sell on ebay for about $100
