ARB air compressor help!!!
I'm installing the ARB air compressor today. also i DON'T have lockers yet so i don't haven to do the wiring for them.
i've been following the write-up on project-jk.com and it has been very helpful. when it came time to hook up the switch everything was fine except for two wires, "red/yellow" to "ignition" and "blue/white" to "dash illumination".
here's a pic of the arb manual wiring,

****************************the wires i'm speaking of are right above HERE^
the write-up on project-jk doesn't even mention these wires. are they only for when lockers are installed. do i not have to hook them up to anything?
also i'm looking to pass the wires under the dash to hook up to the daystar rocker panel, has anyone found an easy way to do this. the wires are kinda bulky and don't look like they'll pass easily.

Some of us have had this problem, Maybe they changed the wiring up but who knows
try this and read from post #49 on

Hook the red/yel wire to the positive side of the ciggy lighter. The blue and white one you can leave out unless you really feel the need for lighting it up when you turn on your dash lights. If so tap a positive wire from the lighting for the dash. Dont go trying to find 12v positive anywhere else other than the ciggy lighter. The JK uses a CANBus system. Wires carry data on them and should not be disturbed.
thx everyone for the help, the wiring was a success and everything works
i got one question though but i'm kinda embarrassed to ask it cuz i know its probably gonna be a "common sense" answer.
so i plugged the hose in, turned the compressor on and hooked it up to the tire to try. it started pumping once the hose was hooked into the valve so i'm guessing it works on a pressure system.
i then turned the switch off (down) but when i went to unplug the hose it shot up and hit my hood!!!!!
so my question is do i need to wait till the pressure goes down (how long would that be).
to be honest it could be that went to unplug the hose before i switched the power off, i can't really remember but i'm pretty sure i did it before.
as far as i'm concerned i'm supposed to plug the hose in 1st, turn the compressor switch on (up). then i can start pumping.
when i'm done i turn the compressor off and then unplug the hose.
if i got anything wrong please let me know.-i feel kinda stupid asking this, its seems so simple.

after you flip the switch to off, then wait a few seconds for the air pressure to bleed out of the line and then take it off the tire.....the using BOTH hands ( just in case ) one hand holding the airline under the hood and the other to release it. That way it takes any doubt out of the process. If you want to use only one hand and you do not want it to hit your hood etc. when you uncouple it make sure to bleed the line

It does release the air slowly, to get an idea of how slowly, turn on the compressor, it should shut off a few seconds later as the tank fills. Then hook the air line up, the compressor should kick back in, once it goes off, start timing, when it turns back on this is the amount of time required for the pressure to drop from 125 PSI to 90 PSI. If it does it within a minute or two the you probably have minor leaks which could be fixed.
Even at 90 PSI the hose could still go flying, my advice, always treat it like it is at 125 PSI and always use two hands.
