Default audio problem

alright ive had my jeep for a little over a week now and ive had to problems....first this only happened once but the front windows would not go down, not until i turned the car off and on again did they work...that hasnt happened since, but now a new problem...

the audio on my mygig has gone out 2 times once last week and now again today...it will not respond no matter if i turn it off and on again or if i turn the car on and off, the only thing that works is if i turn the car off for a while and then turn it back on...this is driving me nuts...if its just some weird setting or something ill be happy but i hope its not an electrical prob already, not to mention that i installed lockpick yesterday and it happend today for the second time so i know that if i take it into the dealer there gonna say its because of the lockpick....please help....thanks and sorry for the long drawn out thread..

Mine has also lost audio but lucky for me it came back after I turned the Jeep off and then back on. Mine was built in Jan of 2008.

I had my MyGIG replaced by the dealer because all of the features of the MYGig were working except no sound. And the audio selection was greyed out

I have had the same "no sound" happen to me. This seems to occur when using the CD player and NAV. Not all the time....just when there seems to be a heavy load on the radio (processor?) Turn the jeep off for a while and it is OK. This has got to be a software issue and not a problem with the radio. I have yet to install my lockpick so it has nothing to do with lockpick. I was kinda hoping lockpick may help this to not happen so your post seems to eliminate that potential. My jeep is about a month old and I bet we will see a software update to correct this problem.

Ya had this problem twice now. First time was about 10 mins after i got my jeep! lol, that wasn't a pleasant surprise.

I took it to the dealership and they said they'd replace it, But they had never heard of them come in for any reason except NAV blackout. Well, I got it replaced and it did it one more time since then. Like everyone says, just turn it off and let it sit, turn it back on later. The processor problem sounds like a pretty firm reason.

hopefully a fix comes out soon
