Hi guys, I recently purchased an 2k8 used unlimited but i noticed that the audio system is shot. This is the factory Infinity System.

There seems to be popping, crackling and something that sounds like loud knocking coming from all the speaker at random times. I was wondering if i could get away with this by just replacing the amp or the head unit, or if i had to replace all the speakers and sub.

Is there a way to test if the speakers are ok or not? I would rather avoid spending a lot of money to replace the entire audio system...

i would try isolating each speaker one by one that will tell you which ones are shot

I'm going to see what the dealer has to say about it. Hopefully they will not take the "it was played too loud, your fault" route
