Default Auto dimming rearview mirror add 2012 Rubi

I picked up a 2012 Rubicon, and it's fairly loaded, but missing something my 2004 Rubi had. The auto dimming rearview mirror with map lights.

I'd like the factory one up there. How hard is it to add? Did Jeep do me any favors by running the wire up there or no?

Thanks.

No wire up there. They just started it as an option in the 2013s.

Default Jeep

Those bastards!

Ok, it's not a huge deal. I'd rather spend the $ on a backup camera anyway.

Of all the no brainless to add, a backup cam should have been the top of the list.

You can pick up rear view mirror with camera for a good price. Then run the wires down the header plastics.

Does anyone know the part number for the Jeep part and does the mirror include a homelink transmitter? Thanks

I've had VISA auto dimming mirror with maplights, temp, and compass in my TJ for a long time. No Bluetooth, but an awesome durable mirror.

On my 08 I went with one of the Gentex auto dim mirrors that included Homelink. Easy to install and setup. My 13 came with auto dim and map lights, so I left it alone and added a Homelink transmitter above the windshield on the header and called it done this time.
