Default Back Up Lamp Switch HELP

Hey all,

I have a 2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport and need your help. So both my back up lights went out recently and I can't seem to figure out what is causing this problem. I've replaced the fuses and the bulbs and neither did the trick. I've read that I may need to replace the back up lamp switch, can anyone tell me how to get to this? Anyone have other ideas as to what could be going wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated. This all started after my dogs chewed through my rear seatbelts and I decided to replace them myself rather than dish out 1k+ to my local shops to do it for me. I've come this far and really don't want to pay anyone to fix this for me.

Thanks,

J

It would help to know if you have an auto or manual transmission.
Have you tested the light socket for power and ground?

It Has manual transmission. I have not checked the light socket for power, not sure how to do that.
