Default Back up light install

Just a quick post about an LED I installed this afternoon behind the spare tire. I think it turned out great. I used a Kawell 27W LED I purchased off amazon. 27 dollars for two, and over 2100 lumens. Took about 23' of 16G wire to go from the back of the jeep to the sPOD under the hood. The round light I used was perfect for the Sahara stock wheels. Pics coming soon.

You ran the light to your sPOD? Did you give it its own switch?

That's pretty sweet! Nice mod!

Thanks guys. Yes, I gave it it's own switch. I wanted the option of being capable of turning it on when i'm not backing up. I can think of a million uses for a rear facing light, and numerous times it would have been handy from on the trail to fishing. The other thing is, I needed to fill some spots on the switch panel. Here's the thing, I have Truetracs which i'm incredibly happy with. So I don't need switches for lockers. I have LED's on my pillar, that's one switch. I have a 50" light bar, that's two. Three on my CB. The "tailgater" light is 4. I have mobile air at the moment, but I intend on getting the ARB unit mounted under the hood, which will fill up switch five. I like the idea of having an AUX switch that is not mated to anything, just in case.

It's also nice for the guy behind you on the trail when wheeling after dark as you don't have to blind him when you have to back up on an obstacle.
