Default Bad FM Reception

Does anyone know if the stock radio has an FM antenna amplifier? My stock brand new jeep sounds awful. The dealer is stumped and really isn't helping. They are attempting to say that my cb radio is interfering with the FM radio (lazy excuse in my opinion since the radio wasn't working properly before i installed the cb and it is in no way connected to the radio). Basically the radio goes in and out of getting reception. I am in the middle of a big city and have never had any issues getting the same stations in any of my other cars.

I took the dash apart and made sure everything is plugged in. I didn't find anything wrong.

Any suggestions?

I have the RES model radio with Uconnect. I traced the antenna by hand as much as i could and did not find and kinks or breaks in the cable. I was not able to reach all the cable however it travels up behind the dash and is not accessable.

There is something wrong. I have the REQ, but it is just about as good as receiving signal as my Alpine in my TJ was, and I was led to believe that Alpine had some of the best FM reception on aftermarket units.

Mine definitely performs better than any of the other stock headunits I have had in any other cars.

My reception sucks too. I got the cheaper radio, as i had no need for u connect or gps. Most of the time I can't get the local radio station here. I need to get more tunes onto my ipod.

It is headed back into the dealer tomorrow morning. I have to remove the CB before they will look at it again. The CB was never on when they tried to "fix" it the first time.

I know something is wrong. I made the service rep line up another 2dr '11 JK three feet away from mine and it had no static with perfect reception. There is a problem, now I just have to make the dealer give a crap about fixing it.
