Default Basslink, did you install your own?

If you did the install yourself, please write up how you made your connections, like where did you run the wire to the battery and which speakers (and how did you tap into them), or did you tap into the head unit?

I know that Jeep makes a Kicker sound upgrade that replaces the sub with a 10" one, and it also comes with an amp that mounts with the other stock one and it is dedicated just to the sub.

I have a Basslink II in my 05 Tacoma behind the rear seats that I installed. But for the sound quality I am impressed, not street shacking bass but nice clean and pretty loud. Goodluck

Kind of hoping someone would have posted regarding this. I was quoted about $125 for a shop to install a basslink for me, and that's money I would rather keep in my pocket or put towards soundbar speakers.

in the spring i hit the jack pot at Best Buy. basslink for $60. i had them install it in case anything went wrong on it, i believe they tapped into the soundbar speakers with RCA converters and them brought the wires through the roll bar and into the back? i'm not sure but they used both a left and right signal, while messing with the fade and balance i noticed when to one side it was alot better base. i took out one signal and left one signal in and man it made a huge difference i love my basslink before, but now i cannot listen to my stereo without it. i'll post some pics of it.

Infinity has user manuals on thier site. I just bought one from good ole' ebay working brand new for $50.00. No wires or manual though so I pulled one up on the site and it even tells you what gauge wire to use. If I remember though, I think the owner's manual for stock radio stated to tap into the fronts and the basslink will turn on when it receives a signal from the speakers. No remote wire in that case. When the basslink gets here I will tinker around a little more with the install and wiring. But yeah save money buy an amp kit case of beer or pop and do it yourself. Hope that helps.
