Battery Driven Upgrades?
Hey guys. I have a 2015 2 dr sport & I've decided I want to start getting more serious about off-roading. I'd like to add a winch, on board air for tires, a power inverter & possibly 2 KC lights. The problem is, I have no idea where to begin in terms of setting it up. I want to make sure I don't accidentally run my battery down & get stranded. Is there any good guides on how to set everything up or would I be better off finding a shop to do it for me?

In a prefect world....you'd have an ignition source switch a solenoid that would turn on the power for an auxiliary fuse block that has all of those accessories. The size solenoid you'd need will depend on all of those accessories plus a safety factor so you're not burning it up.
The winch usually isn't a big factor because you -should- be using it only with the engine running. So look at a compressor, what lights you're looking for, and the size inverter you need/ want. You may find that the inverter will run off of its own leads from the battery just like a winch.
With electricity though.....if you've got doubts then it's probably better to pay someone to do it so there is no chance of burning the jeep to the ground.
